Lubica “Luba” Tanchevski, age 89 of Crown Point, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 18, 2025. Luba was born on February 23, 1936 in Capari, Macedonia and immigrated to America with her husband Metodija (whom she married on February 6, 1955) and their children on March 31, 1971. She was a life long member of Sts. Peter & Paul Macedonian Church where she participated in the ladies auxiliary. Luba retired from The Arthur Winer Company with over 18 years of dedicated service.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Metodija Tanchevski; grandaughter Kathy Grezovski; parents Riste and Verka Blazevski; brother Kire Blazevski; sister Joca Kanatlarovski; and brother-in-law Jonce Tanchevski.

Luba is survived by her loving family, son Kocho (Valentina) Tanchevski; daugter Lena Grezovski; Grandchildren: Riste & Megan Grezovski, Andrea & Dr. Michael Tanchevski; Brother Metodija (Mira) Blazevski; sister-in-law Sonja Blazevski; sister-in-law Milica Tanchevski and brother and sister-in-law Petre and Paca Tanchevski and many cousins, nieces & nephews throughout America, Macedonia, Canada, & Australia.

Luba spent her days caring for her family, baking, & taking care of her garden. She was very proud of her family & enjoyed spending time with all her grandchildren. Making memories with them that will last a lifetime. Luba would often reminisce with family and friends; telling stories of her life experiences and stories about all the kids. She shared her baking skills, knowledge, & recipes with everyone. She looked forward to going to church on Sundays and had a strong belief in her faith. Luba will be forever remembered for her kindness and beautiful smile; greatly missed by all, especially her four grandchildren. May her memory be eternal.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 11am S.S. Peter and Paul Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral with visitation beginning at 10am.
