In Loving Memory

Karen Lois Swanson (nee Fink), was born on January 26, 1952, in Chicago, IL, and died June 20, 2025, at the University of Chicago Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She was baptised on March 16, 1975, and married the love of her life, Larry, on July 4, 1982. 

Karen is survived by her husband, Larry Swanson; sons, Marcus and Scott (Brittany) Swanson; grandsons, Dean Gillespie, and Sawyer Swanson; siblings, Janice (Rick) Glogowski, and Wayne Fink; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Hildegard Fink; infant brother, Howard Fink; and sister-in-law, R. Morgan Hamilton. 

Services for Karen will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2727 E. Cleveland Ave., Hobart, IN, at 2:00 PM, with Chuck Schmidt officiating. The family kindly requests if interested in viewing the service via Zoom, please reach out to them for details.
