Delores Ann (Hulse) Larson, 92 of Hobart, was called home by our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Dee was born on February 27, 1933, in Westhope, ND to Vernon and Irene Hulse. Growing up, Dee enjoyed Drama club and starred as the lead role in almost every play she was in. She loved her family with all her heart and was always such a proud older sister to her siblings. On October 29, 1950, in Crown Point, IN, she married Raymond Mansfield Larson Jr. The two of them started a family, which grew and grew into a beautiful life. Dee’s family tree includes her daughter: Laura (Larson) Charlson, of La Porte, IN, daughter: Gayle (Tony) Lee of Valparaiso, IN, and son: Blake (Tori) Larson of La Plata, MO; 17 grandchildren, Jessica, Candy, Karley, Zak, Kortney, Corben, Kyle, Naomi, Hannah, Kirk, Elizabeth, Sarah, Ben, Elaine, Olivia, Rachel and Rebekah; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; Sister: Loretta (Hulse) Stevenson, Sister in law: Karin Hulse, and many Nieces and Nephews. Dee was a fascinating woman, who carried several Titles. She was an amazing Artist, a softball coach, A bible study teacher, a cook, a huge Cubs fan, and an amazing bowler, however out of all of her titles, her favorites were “Wife”, “Mom” and “Grandma”. Despite her large family, she always had a way of making everyone feel as if they were of the utmost importance. Whether it was dancing with her husband in the living room, praying with one of her children or singing with her grandchildren; Dee had a special way of letting everyone around her feel that they were truly loved. As her beloved husband Ray would say, she was B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L. And beautiful she was! She not only had a heart of gold, but she sparkled everywhere she went. From sequins to glitter, Dee loved to look fancy and was one of the most beautiful women both inside and out. Dee was proceeded in death by her parents, her daughter, Barb; her son, Jeffrey Larson, her son-in-law Randy Charlson, her brothers; Gerald and Tom Hulse; and many nieces and nephews. Dee has painted a life filled with love and happiness. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel in Hobart, IN on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. Funeral services to follow. Per Dee’s request, please do not send flowers or any donations. Instead, take your loved one(s) out to dinner.
