Antonia K. “Chris” Kurtis (Kariotis) died peacefully on March 24, 2025 in Cape Coral, FL at the age of 95.

Antonia is preceded in death by her husband: William Kurtis. She is survived by her daughter Denise Diegelmann (Michael), sister Johanna DiMartino, daughter-in-law Rhonda Kurtis, grandchildren Matthew Diegelmann, Nathaniel Kurtis and Rachel McDonald (Kurtis) and great grand children Gavin McDonald, Lena McDonald and Evie McDonald. She is preceded in death by son Michael Kurtis, grandson Christopher Diegelmann, brothers John and Joseph Kariotis and parents Anthony and Stella (Kourakis) Kariotis.

Antonia was born in Chicago, IL and was a practicing registered nurse for 40 Years. She worked for Mercy Hospital and Dr. Adloph Goldstone in Gary and Merrillville, IN for many years.

A viewing and funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 9, 2025 at St. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral 8000 Madison St. Merrillville, IN 46410. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM with the service beginning at 10:00 AM. with a reception to follow.
