Antonio Louis Napules “Tony”

Antonio, age 60, peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023. Antonio is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Rosita; children, Michael Anthony (Mary Kate) Napules, Louis Antonio (Alicia) Napules Jr., and Anthony Hilario Napules; grandchildren, Lianna, Anthony, Michael, Graciella, Alex, Giovanni and Leilani; siblings, Gloria (Arnold) Reyes, Sylvia (Terry) Napules, Naomi (Jose) Novoa, and Margaret (Juan) Amador; many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends who will dearly miss him. Antonio is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Mary Napules; brother, Robert Anthony Napules.
Antonio was born in Gary, but raised in East Chicago, IN. He attended Bishop Noll Institute, before enlisting in the United States Marine Corp., where he met the love of his life while stationed in the Philippines. He then came home and furthered his education at Calumet College of St. Joseph in Whiting. He was a steel mill worker for over 25 years, a master operator, and elected Griever Steward in #2 BOF at Arcelor-Mittal. Antonio was an active member in the community he grew up in, he loved politics in East Chicago. Known as Coach Tony to most, he was a founder and former President of the East Chicago Pop Warner Football and Cheer program, and also the former President of the East Chicago Wrestling Club. He was also a former assistant varsity baseball coach at East ChIcago Central High School.
Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, March 7th from 4-8 PM at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel, 7535 Taft Street, Merrillville, IN. Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, March 8th at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel. Interment at Calumet Park Cemetery.

Knew Tony for years at work and so did my Father from in town E C Harbor, Great Person on and off the job ! Very saddened to hear of his passing , Sincere Condolences to his family and friends , may he R I P🙏 !
